Modernising Gravy with New Bare Bones Range

Global food and beverage company, Kraft Heinz, has announced the launch of its latest brand, Bare Bones, a range of premium finishing sauces innovated and made locally, set to modernise the gravy category.

Bare Bones is an exciting collection of unique gravies, sauces, and jus, with a focus on deliciously simple ingredients to inspire consumers to get creative in the kitchen. The range incorporates indulgent ingredients of truffle, black garlic and wine to complement aromatic herbs and rich glace the perfect finishing touch for any meal.

The launch comes in direct response to consumers seeking flavoursome finishing sauce and gravy options, evolving the category from its old-fashioned perceptions to one that is harmonious with modern home cooking. As its name suggests, Bare Bones is a range, stripped bare of any artificial colours, artificial flavours and unsavouries, containing ingredients that are easy to understand and recognise, often found in consumers' pantries.

Comprised of simple ingredients that offer versatility through modern recipes and cooking at home, the Bare Bones range is available in four flavours;

  • Classic Gravy with Black Garlic: Beef-based gravy blended with onion and mixed herbs, then elevated with cured black garlic for a hint of sweetness. Perfect with red meat.
  • Red Wine Jus with Rosemary and Thyme: Full bodied beef-based reduction sauce with a velvety smooth texture and hint of earthiness from an Australian Merlot. Perfect with red meat.
  • Free-Range Chicken Gravy with White Wine: Classic chicken gravy with a rich umami flavour, perfectly balanced by a bright Australian Sauvignon Blanc and herb. Great with chicken or pork.
  • Mushroom Sauce with Truffle: Creamy, textured mushroom sauce with a beef base, enriched with indulgent black truffle and clarified butter. Great with chicken or beef.

Each 200g pouch of Bare Bones serves four diners.
