NEW WORLD LAUNCHES 2016 BEER & CIDER AWARDS

Breweries of all sizes are invited to enter and compete in the 2016 New World Beer & Cider Awards, getting the chance to stand out from the crowd across thirteen categories. Winners will be distributed in all New World stores nationwide, with extensive brand exposure and promotion.
During a two-day event to be held in Wellington next year, an independent panel of 15 experts will blind-judge all entries individually, evaluating their qualities, balance and drinkability. Gold, silver and bronze medals will then be presented, and additional Best in Class prizes will also be awarded for each category.
“Unlike most other competitions, these awards are focused primarily on the consumer,” said Michael Donaldson, beer writer and chair of the independent judges. “The presentation of results will help New World customers navigate the increasingly complex beer world, allowing them to make informed choices, safe in the knowledge all medal-winning beers and ciders are both technically excellent and, most importantly, enjoyable to drink.”
To secure a place on the shelves, breweries are required to have enough stock available. Entries to competition close on January 27th. For more information, visit the Awards’ webpage.
