NZ Post Disruptions this Week

NZ Post has announced significant delays in parcel delivery due to an unforeseen disruption within its aircraft fleet.

The operating schedule has been reduced to a single aircraft, so packages have been diverted to alternative transport. Where space allows, time-critical items have been provided with transportation via Air New Zealand, but the majority of courier items have been moved to road routes.

The nature of the disruption means there is likely to be delivery delays for items moving between the North and South Island for the rest of the week.

The contingency plans have also had to consider unplanned maintenance to an Interislander ferry and road closures from extreme weather.

Updates for delivery timeframes will continue on the NZ Post website, and they ask the Customer Contact Centre is only used for critical business enquries.
