Oatly has expanded its global footprint with an exclusive distribution partner in New Zealand.
Oatly, the world’s original and largest oat milk company, announced its partnership with leading distributor Acorn Group Limited (“Acorn Group”) to cement further its position as a leader in the plant-based category in New Zealand.
“At Oatly, we want to make it easy for people to swap in plant-based for dairy in their diets for the benefit of the planet, and that means working with fantastic partners, such as Acorn Group, who believe in our mission and can work with us to share our products with as many people as possible,” said Marc O’Sullivan, Country Manager, Oatly Australia & New Zealand.
“We’re excited to offer consumers in New Zealand our range of oat milk varieties and formats, which work just as great in your morning coffee as in your favourite food recipes.”
Acorn Group will be the exclusive sales agent and distributor for the brand's oat milk range in the New Zealand supermarket channel. Its best-selling Barista product has been the first of many to hit the shelves.
The brand has designed products that require zero compromise on taste or performance and contain nutritional benefits from the goodness of oat fibres. The brand’s oat milk ranges are dairy, soy and nut-free, which generally are better for the climate than cow’s milk.
“Since 2007, Acorn Group has been making better things happen for brands in the NZ market. We partner exclusively with brands that offer consumers better choices and customers better solutions,” said Elliot Keys, General Manager, Acorn Group.
“We are delighted to partner with Oatly, a globally disruptive brand changing how people perceive and consume the plant-based category.”
The category-defining Barista product is now available in a range of supermarket stores across New Zealand.
