Owner-Operators Return To Warkworth

Warkworth, New World Damian and Renee Langley

Damian and Renee Langley have recently made a much-anticipated return to the Warkworth area as the owner-operators of New World on Percy Street.

The pair are well-known within the community. They had previously been owner-operators of the Matakana Four Square for two years before heading off in 2017 to be the operators of Four Square Coromandel and then New World Kawerau, their first New World store.

Damian and Renee are a part of the Foodstuffs North Island co-operative behind the PAK'nSAVE, New World and Four Square stores in Te Ika-a-Māui.  Foodstuffs owner-operators live and work in their communities and often relocate to take up the opportunity of the next step on the supermarket ownership ladder.

Damian said he and Renee loved the Warkworth area and were delighted to be back.

"We've had a fantastic time being a part of some amazing communities. Taking ownership of New World Warkworth was always the dream when we were in the Four Square in Matakana, so it's a very cool feeling to be back," said Damian.

The couple looks forward to returning to the community, delivering an excellent customer experience and supporting local groups where possible.

"As well as what we deliver for customers, we're huge on helping our teams grow their careers and fulfil their aspirations. We always like to bring something new to the shopping experience, so watch this space."

Damian continued that it had been great to reconnect with many familiar faces, customers and local suppliers in the area who had supported the couple's return.

"We look forward to seeing everyone as they come in for their shop over the coming weeks."
