PEPSI PULLS KENDALL JENNER AD AFTER INTERNET BACKLASH

Pepsi's new marketing campaign has been pulled after the internet united against it's insensitive treatment of race relations.  The short-film form advert is entitled 'Jump In', and shows Kendall Jenner modelling in a blonde wig and Joan of Arc inspired dress, as a peaceful protest (presumably about race relations, it's all very unspecific) walks by.  Kendall Jenner whips off her wig, makes her way to the front of the protest, hands one of the policemen a Pepsi.  He drinks it, smiles and the crowd goes wild.  Many people on the internet spoke out against the ad, which trivialised racial equality protests, the struggles of marginalised peoples and struggles against police brutality.  Pepsi reacted by pulling the ad immediately, and releasing a statement of apology including apologising for putting Jenner in that position.  Jenner has not released any statement.
