There have been a number of queries over pomegranate adulteration according to a report to the New Zealand Beverage Council.
The product cannot be tested in New Zealand as other products are and must be sent overseas making it particularly difficult to judge quality. Some senior members of the industry believe there are some “smoking guns” involving pomegranate claims.
