RAGU AND BERTOLLI SOLD

IN A deal worth US$2.15 billion, Unilever’s Ragu and Bertolli pasta sauce brands have been sold in North America to Japan’s Mizkan Group. The two brands have combined annual sales of US$600 million and the deal is inclusive of processing and packaging facilities. Privately owned Mizkan Group manufactures condiments and sauces and is looking to increase its export business.
