An Auckland butchery was ram-raided on January 17th, but the store’s CCTV footage was able to catch the culprits on camera. In the early hours of the morning, five people appeared in front of the shop wearing hoods and face coverings, then proceeded to kick and break the glass. Four youths were taken into custody after a police chase with an Eagle helicopter keeping watch. The butchery recieved thousands of dollars in damages, yet the offenders only took a small amount of ice cream. It is thought they were looking for cash but were unsuccessful.
