AMAZON LAUNCHES ITS ‘MAGIC BUTTON’ IN MORE COUNTRIES

Amazon has a new-ish weapon in its challenge to traditional grocers, Amazon Dash. The innovation launched last year in the US but is now debuting in other countries around the world, including the UK.

Dash buttons are small, branded buttons that link to Amazon Prime accounts and allow users to automatically order frequently purchased items and have them delivered to their door, without any need to log on to the website. Each button usually costs US$4.99 and can be set up to order a particular product and quantity. Once that has been done, Amazon users just need to stick the button where they want (for example, in the bathroom cabinet for toothpaste, or under the sink for bin bags) and push it. The list of brands available currently includes Dettol, Gillette, Kleenex, Neutrogena and Whiskas, just to mention a few.
