Maketū Foods Ltd has recalled a specific batch of its Maketū Pies brand Steak & Mushroom Pie, due to the presence of an undeclared allergen (fish).
The Maketū Pies brand Smoked Fish Pie has been incorrectly packaged as Steak & Mushroom. The batch in question has a fresh use-by date of 24 June 2023 and is frozen best before the 15th of June 2024.
If retailers are affected by this product recall, they are advised to download a copy of the point of sale notice, which will need to be displayed in-store for one month.
Customers are asked to check the batch and date mark on the front of the packaging and advised not to consume the product if they have a fish allergy.
If it has been consumed and individuals have any concerns about their health, they are encouraged to seek medical attention.
Customers with a fish allergy can return the product to their retailer for a full refund.
