Vogel’s Breads Recalled

Vogel’s various breads have been recalled because they may contain small metal pieces.

The recall was announced on the 11th of August 2026 by Goodman Fielder New Zealand Limited.

The following Vogel’s products with Best Before the 15th of August were affected by this recall:

  • Vogel’s Original Mixed Grain Very Thin (750g)
  • Vogel’s Original Mixed Grain Sandwich (750g)
  • Vogel’s Original Mixed Grain Toast (750g)
  • Vogel’s Dark Rye Toast (720g)
  • Vogel’s Sprouted Whole Grain Toast (720g)
  • Vogel’s Fruit and Spice Extra Thick (720g)

The products were sold in soft plastic bags. This recall does not affect any other Vogel’s brand products. The products were sold in supermarkets in the South Island and were not exported.

Retailers of these products must download a copy of the point-of-sale notice and display it in their store for one month.

Customers are asked to check the Best Before date on the bread tag. Affected products should not be consumed.

There have been no reports of related injuries. However, those who have consumed these products and have any concerns about their health should seek medical advice. Customers should return the products to their retailer for a full refund.
