Costco's September global net sales were US$21.46 billion, an increase of 10.1 percent from last year. The wholesaler current operates 839 warehouses, with 578 in the USA and Puerto Rico, 107 in Canada, 40 in Mexico, 31 in Japan, 29 in the UK, 17 in Korea, 14 in Taiwan, 13 in Australia, four in Spain, two each in France and China, and one each in Iceland and New Zealand.
In the USA sales were up 11.7 percent, Canada they were up 5.7 percent and other international sales were down 1.9 percent.
When the impacts of changes in petrol prices and exchange rates are excluded, USA sales were up 8 percent, Canada sales were up 9.6 percent and other international sales were up 11 percent.
The stores E-commerce platforms that only operate in the USA, Canada, the UK, Mexico, Korea, Taiwan, Japan and Australia say a 0.7 percent increase or 2.3 percent adjusted increase.
