Mountain Dew Goes Pitch Black

Mountain Dew Goes Pitch Black

UK | Mountain Dew will expand its range with the launch of Mountain Dew Pitch Black, a new citrus grape-flavoured drink.

The launch builds on Mountain Dew’s strong position in the category, with the brand now worth GBP 32.6m in Retail Sales Value.

Mountain Dew Pitch Black gives retailers a new single-serve option from the popular brand, which is the third fastest-growing flavoured carbonates brand in convenience.

With its dark purple colouring and bold, space-inspired packaging, Pitch Black brings a distinctive new look to the Mountain Dew range. The latest innovation brings a bold fusion of citrus and grape flavour, crafted to support retailers in catering to those consumers looking for new and different tastes beyond core ranges.

David Laidler, Brand Director of Carbonates at Carlsberg Britvic said that Mountain Dew is flying, with sales up over 11.5 percent year on year. This bold new flavour innovation offers customers an opportunity to build on that momentum. With its bold taste, striking dark liquid and standout pack, it’s sure to grab shoppers’ attention.

"We’re confident Pitch Black will deliver strong sales by exciting fans, while bringing new consumers into the Mountain Dew brand.”

Available exclusively through Booker from October, Mountain Dew Pitch Black will launch in 500ml price-marked packs (PMPs) in cases of 12, before rolling out from November 2026.
