UK | Uber Eats has expanded its partnership with Sainsbury’s and Nectar, allowing UK customers to collect Nectar points on their favourite rapid grocery deliveries.
With Sainsbury’s fresh ingredients and everyday essentials delivered to the door, earning rewards from the comfort of home has never been more effortless.
Shoppers can now collect one Nectar point for every pound spent when ordering Sainsbury’s groceries via the Uber Eats app or website. The rollout has brought rapid delivery with rewards to customers shopping from over 1,300 Sainsbury’s stores across the UK.
Katie Hunter, Uber Eats General Manager for Grocery & Retail in the UK, said that Uber Eats customers loved Nectar, so bringing points directly to their Sainsbury’s orders was a no-brainer. She added that it was all about delivering flexibility, convenience, and value for customers right alongside their favourite groceries.
This integration was built on the existing capability to redeem points for Uber Vouchers, enabling customers to seamlessly collect and spend Nectar points across the entire Uber ecosystem.
“We’re creating even more ways for people to get great value from Nectar through our partnership with Uber," said Mark Given, Sainsbury’s Chief Technology, Marketing and Data Officer s.
"Nectar members can already turn their points into Uber rides or Uber Eats treats, and now they can collect points when ordering Sainsbury’s groceries through Uber Eats too."
Whether stocking up on midweek meals or ordering last-minute essentials, users can now watch their balance grow with every order.
