GERMANY | From 15 to 19 September 2025, Munich will once again become the global hub for the beverage and liquid food industry as drinktec returns with over 1,000 exhibitors confirmed from more than 50 countries.
Spanning more than 73,000 square metres, the trade fair will showcase technologies and solutions covering the full production and distribution chain.
“drinktec remains closely aligned with market needs, and this year’s edition is no exception. The strong response to drinktec 2025 is a testament to this strategic alignment,” said Rolf Keller, Managing Director of YONTEX.
The exhibitor mix will reflect its traditional international outlook, with one-third from Germany and the rest representing global innovation. Markus Kosak, Executive Director of the drinktec Cluster, confirmed that demand remains strong. “Only a few spaces remain available. We continue to receive enquiries and are working to place them in the most suitable exhibition areas,” said Kosak.
New for 2025 is Liquidrome, a central hub in Hall C4 where academia, startups, and industry leaders will converge. The Startup zone has attracted notable international interest, including digital solutions for maintenance management and energy optimisation.
“We’re presenting an exciting range of German startups supported through a stand concept funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy. In addition, we’ve successfully attracted numerous international startups,” said Kosak.
The Health Bar will explore functional and fortified beverages, while the New Beverage Concept in Hall C3 will showcase future-forward flavour profiles and ingredients. Key programme themes include:
- Circularity and Resource Management, covering water reuse, energy recovery, and packaging efficiency
- Data2Value, examining how machine learning and AI are reshaping production
- Lifestyle and Health, with a focus on alcohol-free, fermented, and nutritionally enriched drinks
Alongside the exhibition, drinktec’s global outreach continues through its international roadshow. Covering around 20 countries, the team has built meaningful connections with key markets across Asia, Europe, and the Americas.
“The global response has been overwhelmingly positive. With the support of local associations, we gained valuable insights into the strategic and economic priorities of our target markets. This exchange is absolutely vital to ensuring drinktec remains perfectly aligned,” said Kosak.
For many attendees, this will be the first major post-pandemic opportunity to explore live innovation on a global scale. “All in all, the signs point clearly to growth,” Kosak concluded.
