The artisan beverage company won with its Kawakawa Leaf Tonic using native tealeaves from bushes on Great Barrier Island. Interestingly, Tama is the current NZ men’s 400m champion and is training towards Olympic selection. The other beverage winner on the night was Waiwera Spiced Gold Rum.
