American-based company and leader in plant-based meat has launched a new range of frozen, ready-made meals in the United Kingdom ahead of the country’s national vegetarian week.
Beyond Meat has offered a range of satisfying plant-based spin-offs of classic comfort foods in three of the country’s most popular dishes, including Spaghetti Bolognese, Keema Curry with Pilau Rice, and Chili with Coriander Rice.
These varying flavours and frozen ready meals can be located in Tesco.
The launch has followed an increased consumer demand of one-third of the United Kingdom population, either cutting back or planning to minimise meat and dairy consumption. Furthermore, the new meals cater to the growing busier lifestyles of consumers while helping them meet their plant-based goals.
Beyond Meals are crafted using Beyond Meat as the key ingredient, designed to have a similar taste and texture as animal meat. All three meals are ready in less than 10 minutes, making it a tasty, convenient lunch or dinner.
"We're thrilled to be launching our delicious and affordable new range of Beyond Meals in the UK,” said Regional Sales Manager UK Steve Dalby from Beyond Meat.
“With three different flavours to choose from, including plant-based twists on classic comfort foods and global cuisines, there's something for everyone to enjoy, and they’re perfect for those who are always on the go.”
Dalby continued that the Beyond Meals range being entirely plant-based, no sacrifice or compromise on consumer behalves was required.
The launch has followed the brand’s recent launch of its new Beyond Chicken-Style products. This range included the Beyond Burger Chicken-Style, Beyond Fillet, and Beyond Nuggets, all crafted from plant-based ingredients designed to look, cook and taste like the animal equivalents.
