ITALIANS TAKE THEIR BEST FRIENDS SHOPPING

An Italian grocery store in the Northern city of Luino is now offering dog-friendly trolleys, designed to allow customers the pleasure of shopping without having to leave their small dogs tied up outside. Cleaned after each use, the adapted trolleys are equipped with a partitioned section, in which pets can comfortably sit or stand.

The idea came to Gianfranco Galantini, owner-operator of the franchised supermarket, and it may soon be rolled out throughout the whole chain.
“The initiative launched just recently, but we’ve already noticed how much our customers appreciated it,” said Galantini.
