No More Mars Bars

At a recent roundtable meeting, representatives from the UK’s Food and Drink Federation told Environmental Secretary Michael Give that Mars Bars could go out of stock within a couple of weeks if Brexit goes ahead without a deal being made between the country and Brussels. The representatives brought to light the fact that Mars bars are made using imported ingredients that do not have a long expiry date. In the case of a hard Brexit food, imports could potentially be banned from entering the country which would halt the production of Mars bars.

The news comes after Mondelez announced earlier this year that they were stockpiling of some chocolate bars in case of a no Brexit deal with the EU.
