RECYCLABLE PACKAGING FOR RAW CHICKEN AND PORK

Raw pork in wet market

Following its sustainability announcement in January, Thailand-based food manufacturing company Charoen Pokphand Foods Public Company Limited (CP Foods) has redesigned its packaging for chicken and pork products. The new packaging seeks to reduce plastic waste and promote the concept of a circular economy.

The latest efforts by the company falls under its wider aim of ensuring all its packaging is recyclable, reusable, upcyclable or compostable by 2025. As part of the implementation, the company has invested in a Research and Development Centre and has employed food packaging specialists.
