Unilever and Tesco are at war, and the Anglo-Dutch consumer goods company has stopped delivery of 200 products to Tesco stores. The supermarket chain has, in fact, refused to agree to the 10 percent price increase that Unilever was demanding as a result of falling pound value.
Among the product pulled from shelves are Persil, Marmite, Surf and Flora, just to name a few.
Unilever is now accused of exploiting British shoppers, using Brexit as an excuse regardless of the fact that many of its goods are made in Britain with local ingredients.
Tesco is not the only major chain that has refused to pay the price hike, but so far it’s the only one being affected.
