UK | Aldi has sold more burgers and ice cream than ever before in a week.
Brits are going barmy for burgers in the heat. The nation’s fourth biggest supermarket has announced it sold more burgers last week than ever before, an unbelievable 119 burgers every minute.
Aldi also reported record ice cream sales. The supermarket has revealed that 250,000 ice creams were sold every hour last week.
On multiple days last week, Aldi sold a quarter of a million ice creams every hour, which is 69 every second, which is a huge 100 percent jump compared to the same week in 2024.
This is the second time this year that Aldi has broken its ice cream sales record, previously set in June 2025 and before that, June 2023.
These sizzling stats come as two new ice cream products land in stores — the Dubai Chocolate Mochi, which has shoppers buzzing with anticipation on social media and the popular Langham’s Doggy Ice Cream, which has returned following sell-out success.
When it first launched, 30 tubs flew off the shelf every minute as shoppers raced to buy it for their furry friends to help them cool down.
Shoppers can now pick up Aldi’s extensive BBQ and ice cream range in stores.
