AUSTRALIA | Woolworths will help customers spend less on everyday essentials this spring.
As the weather warms up and customers begin turning to outdoor dining and lighter meals, Woolworths has dropped the price of several fresh proteins and more than 450 products in-store and online, including up to 23 percent on some family meal favourites.
Some of these family meat favourites include a 15 percent reduction on the Champagne Leg Ham Sliced From The Deli, a 17 percent reduction on the Woolworths Beef Sizzle Schnitzel and a 22 percent reduction on the Woolworths Chicken RSPCA Approved Chicken Wings.
Several pantry staples, such as salad dressing, snacks, kid’s yoghurts, and everyday household cleaning supplies and personal care items, are also dropping in price.
Woolworth's new Lower Shelf Price program will help customers with sustained budget relief. The program will be featured all year round rather than seasonally. In September, the shelf price for more products will drop.
In addition to the products in the supermarket's seasonal Price Drop programme, Woolworths is helping customers find value by introducing lower shelf prices. This new program will highlight products that Woolworths has lowered the shelf price on to help give more sustained budget relief to customers.
“Our customers have told us they’re looking for value more than ever. This spring, we have more than 450 products dropping in price to help them better manage their budgets, especially as Australians reconnect more with family and friends over meals and occasions as the months warm up,” said Woolworths Chief Commercial Officer Paul Harker.
“In addition to our seasonal campaign, we’re also introducing a range of products at a Lower Shelf Price to provide customers with even more ways for their budget to go further for more sustained periods at Woolworths.”
Harker said customers should look for the red Lower Shelf Price ticket in stores and online to find products with lower shelf prices.
“We continue to work hard to provide customers with value when shopping with us.”
Customers can also get more value from their shop by taking advantage of the thousands of weekly specials, including half-price offers. They can also save 30 per cent on average by opting for Woolworth's brand products compared to similar branded products, shopping The Odd Bunch range, which offers another way to save at least 20 per cent on fruit and vegetables that are slightly odd but still great quality, while also supporting Australian farmers who can sell more of their produce.
Woolworths online tools, including the Best Unit Price filter, also help customers sort items by lowest unit price.
