ALDI RECALLS PEANUTS PACKET

A brand of peanuts has been recalled from Aldi shelves as it failed to disclose the product contains nuts. Clancy's Barbecue Flavour Coated Peanuts, which does contain cashew nuts, has been recalled by the supermarket giant as it didn't declare to customers of its ingredients. According to the Food Standards Agency, the product is considered 'a possible health risk' for those who have a nut allergy.

Aldi has informed customers who have a cashew nut allergy who purchased the snack to return it to the store for a refund.

"Aldi is recalling its Clancy's Barbecue Flavour Coated Peanuts because they contain cashew nuts, which are undeclared on the label," said Aldi in a statement.

The affected product was only available in three regional areas of the UK Cornwall's Neston, Darlington and Goldthorpe.
