Asda Unveils Two Million Upgrade At Pilsworth Store

Asda unveils £2 million upgrade at Pilsworth store

UK | Asda has announced that it has completed a GBP two million transformation of its Pilsworth store in Bury, marking its most significant single-store investment in several years.

Work on the 61,000 sq. ft. store began earlier this year, and now that the project has been completed, Asda will be offering a first look inside the newly revamped store.

Shoppers will notice several significant improvements, including a fresh, modern look with new feature lighting and updated signage.

A consolidated food hall has also been created, simplifying the shop floor's layout and making it easier for customers to find what they need.

The produce section now features new low-level chilled units, and a dedicated wine and spirits zone has been added. Enhancements have also been made to modernise the George and General Merchandise departments.

The store's café is also the first Asda store to be transformed into the new ‘Asda Kitchen’ as part of a store-wide programme to reinvigorate the supermarkets’ cafés. The refreshed café offers a modern dining experience with a coffee shop atmosphere.

The new menu includes familiar favourites as well as a variety of healthier options. Customers can order via a manned till, a kiosk, or a QR code to have their food delivered to their table.

“After months of hard work from all involved, we’re excited to welcome the local community into our newly upgraded Pilsworth store,” said Dan Grindrod, General Store Manager for Asda Pilsworth.

“This investment has enabled us to create a modern shopping environment that makes it easier for the customers we serve to find the products and value they’ve come to expect from Asda.”

Asda recently announced the store would be the first to trial Asda’s Rewards Digital Sampling Vending Machine.

Customers can try newly launched products from Asda’s branded partners by scanning their Asda Rewards ID at the machine.

Store opening hours, which were temporarily adjusted during the renovation, will return to the usual hours.

Customers shopping in Pilsworth can also benefit from Asda’s iconic Rollback promotion, which has been reintroduced as part of a broader initiative to lower prices across its entire range. Over 4,000 popular products are now discounted by an average of 25 percent, with many items priced five percent lower than competitor promotional prices.
