But it's not just about the laughs; it's about the values shared between Best Foods Mayo and its diverse audience of comedy enthusiasts. Through initiatives like the Best Foods  Cooking with Comedians series, featuring hilarious culinary showdowns between comedians, the brand connects with consumers in a unique and entertaining way.

In celebration of their enduring partnership, a '7 years of Best Foods' montage video was  created during the festival's 30th anniversary, highlighting the brand's integral role in the festival's success.

This collaborative effort not only showcases the brand's commitment to comedy but also its  ability to connect with Kiwi consumers on a personal level.

Despite the challenges faced by the events industry during the pandemic, the NZ  International Comedy Festival persevered, providing much-needed laughter to Kiwis across digital platforms supported by Best Foods Mayo. This long-term perspective fosters enduring partnerships, demonstrating loyalty through thick and thin.

Best Foods Mayo's sponsorship of the NZ International Comedy Festival is more than just a partnership; it's a celebration of laughter, creativity, and the enduring power of comedy to bring people together. So, grab your tickets, enjoy the show, and don't forget to spread a little mayo-inspired joy along the way!

“The investment from Best Foods into the NZ International Comedy Festival over the last eight years, has enabled us to build and cement the association of the brand with this event for comedians and audiences. Long-term commitment from Unilever and the team at James Crisp has not only supported the sustainability of this event, but enabled the Festival and comedy industry in Aotearoa to thrive! Comedy and comedians are everywhere, creating careers and making a positive impact across the whole creative sector. New Zealand comedy is well and truly respected on the global stage,” said Lauren Whitney, chief executive of the NZ International Comedy Festival.

This partnership is such a great fit for a well-loved brand like Best Foods mayo, with many  Kiwis now referring to the Best Foods mayo Comedy Festival! It also shows the brand doesn’t take itself too seriously which resonates well with Kiwi consumers. Due to the long-term commitment to the Comedy Festival and the positive impact it has had on the industry, comedians often organically promote the brand through social media and onstage references. Pasifika hero comedian Tofiga showed his love for Best Foods on stage, joking about the meaning of mayo in Pasifika culture, likening it to the spice of Indian food.  Recently popular Irish comedian David O’Doherty was waxing lyrically about Best Foods mayo sponsoring a comedy festival, and enjoyed joking around with it in his adlibbed banter on the night.
