Coco-Cola Europacific Partners New Zealand (CCEP NZ) have stepped up in the catastrophic aftermath of the volcanic eruption in Tonga.

The small island nation was met with great tragedy after an eruption and tsunami, took both lives and resources on Saturday the 15th of January. CCEP NZ lept straight into action with a fundraising appeal, where every dollar donated by an individual staff member was matched by the business.

CCEP NZ's final donation was over ten thousand dollars. It contributed to a total of $215,00 from the Vodafone Foundation/Redcross Pacific Tsunami Appeal on Give A Little. In addition to the monetary donation, CCEP NZ provided 35,000, 1.5-litre bottles of Pure Drop water. Along with 100 metal drums, worth $8,000, for the New Zealand based Tongan community to fill with personal items to ship to their families in Tonga.

"Many lives have benefitted from CCEP NZ's generosity and [what the company has done] will make a difference in the Tongan people’s continuous struggle to rebuild their lives," said Roseland Tuiaki, Project Manager at the Fungataua Educational and Cultural Trust.
