Around 1.30 am last night, a man aged under 25 robbed a Christchurch convenience store at knife-point, just for two packets of rolling tobacco.
When asked for identification, the man pulled out a large knife and forced the shop assistant to hand the tobacco over. He then fled the store with a couple of packets, much to the clerk’s shock.
The offender, who now risks up to 14 years in jail for aggravated robbery, is yet to be identified. He was described as slim, 1.75m tall and Caucasian.
