Over 2000 disgruntled shoppers recently took to Countdown’s facebook page expressing their concerns and annoyance over eftpos machines in store, after one customer posted a video of an unstable eftpos cradle. The video shows the shopper trying to swipe and punch in her pin, as the eftpos terminal moves and turns and the comment states “This is so annoying. It takes one minute and a screwdriver to fix.”
Countdown has responded to the post saying “Good news Countdown customers! Planning was already in the works, and we are rolling out new eftpos machine cradles across all 174 Countdown stores starting very soon.”
