LAGUNITAS ARRIVES IN NEW ZEALAND

6-pack of lagunitas ipa

Craft brewery Lagunitas has a long history of creating exciting, funky beers and New Zealanders are finally getting the chance to try them. The popular U.S. brand has finally launched bottles of its popular IPA in local stores.

The brand has been present in New Zealand’s craft beer bars for some time, and Lagunitas realised it had tapped into a strong marketplace. “Since first bringing Lagunitas to New Zealand a year ago on tap, we quickly realised how aligned some of our Kiwi tastes in beer are to the American favourites,” said DB Breweries marketing director Sean O’Donnell.

Thanks to its presence on tap, craft beer aficionados should recognise the bottles in stores. In addition to the retail release, Lagunitas’ Little Sumpin’ Sumpin’ Ale, a rich dry beer, is now on bar taps at selected locations around the country.

Lagunitas’ flagship IPA is an exceptionally popular product, hitting all the right notes in the craft beer market whilst tasting great to beer novices, too.

“Lagunitas flagship IPA is a well-rounded, highly drinkable beer with Caramel Malt barley providing a richness that mellows out the twang of the Cascade and Centennial hops. There’s a reason that it is America’s leading IPA, it’s really good!” said O’Donnell. “Lagunitas flagship IPA is a well-rounded, highly drinkable beer with caramel malt barley,” said O’Donnell. “There’s a reason that it is America’s leading IPA.”

Lagunitas IPA is 6.3 percent ABV, and will be sold in six-packs of 355ml bottles.
