"Invivo X, Sarah Jessica Parker," the delectable sauvignon blanc, has successfully sold 400 thousand bottles globally and has sold out at New Zealand's Invivo & Co winery.
Following the launch in September, the wine has had major success. "Invivo X, SJP" was judged by international standards at the 2019 New World wine awards this week, later being announced as a Top 50 Gold medal winner.
The sauvignon blanc was created by Parker along with the helping hands of local Kiwi winery Invivo & Co. Balancing flavours of grapefruit, honeysuckle, passionfruit and citrus, the beautifully blended wine is not a typical Marlborough Sauvignon.
The actress, now winemaker, said she has been hands-on throughout the whole process and is ecstatic with the result.
“While I’m new to winemaking, the Invivo fellows generously taught, showed and shared as much of the art and science of their business and hopefully I have absorbed some of their Kiwi confidence," Parker said.
Founder and Executive Vice President of US website Wine.com, Mike Osborne, said the launch of the wine is one of the most successful launches the online wine retailer has ever seen.
“Within the first week, ‘Invivo X, SJP’ has become one of the best sellers on wine.com," he said.
"Invivo X, SJP" is available for Kiwis to buy in New World and other liquor outlets until it runs out.
