EARTHQUAKE AFFECTED SUPERMARKETS ACROSS NZ

As a result of today’s earthquake, some supermarkets across NZ are currently closed for a clean-up:
- New World: Railway and Porirua (Wellington), Kaikoura, Redcliffs (Christchurch). New World Newtown is now open.
- Four Square: Kaikoura and Cheviot are closed, while Culverton has been reopened.
- Countdown: all stores in the South Island remained open, with the exception of three supermarkets in Blenheim (Seymour St, Redwoodtown and Springlands). Five Countdowns were closed in the Wellington region including Queensgate Mall and Wainuiomata Mall. Petone, Lower Hutt and Porirua stores are expected to open during the day. As Countdown's Palmerston North distribution centre was also closed, delays are to be expected in the South Island.
