Current chief financial officer Lukas Paravicini has been appointed as Fonterra’s new chief operating officer for Global Consumer and Foodservice, effective 1 June 2017. Paravicini will replace Jacqueline Chow, who took on the role last year and will return to Australia in mid-2017 to pursue a board career, as planned. Fonterra will soon announce the appointment of a new chief financial officer.
Paravicini has a 20-year experience at the top levels of the industry, having spent over 15 years with Nestlé leading the business in established and emerging markets. He joined Fonterra in 2013.
“Lukas has an in-depth understanding of global brands and the importance of meeting and anticipating the needs of customers through constant innovation and world-class performance. He and his family have experienced many different cultures around the world, and he is fluent in five languages,” said Theo Spierings, chief executive officer, Fonterra.
