Adding a French touch to Kiwi baking, the Paneton bakery will now supply its new range of pastries in Foodstuffs North Island supermarkets, i.e. PAK’nSAVE, New World and Four Square.
After Edmonds discontinued its long-running pastry range earlier this year, this partnership should provide much-needed relief to Aotearoa’s home bakers.
“Not only is Paneton’s pastry range delicious, but it’s also a natural extension to the frozen pastries and breads that we already carry and are very popular with our customers,” said Foodstuffs North Island Category Manager for Baking Liam Wilson.
“We know how much this means to Paneton, and it is wonderful to see the range on shelves in time for the Christmas season.”
The organisation has been looking for a replacement that Kiwis will love for a while now. With the introduction of Paneton, there are plans to extend into more Foodstuffs North Island stores and launch in Foodstuffs South Island stores early next year.
“We were delighted to hear about the partnership and have the opportunity to bring a quality New Zealand-made product and a touch of French savoir-faire to New Zealand home bakers. We hope that New Zealanders will enjoy creating delicious pastry masterpieces for all occasions,” said Paneton’s General Manager, Thibault Beaujot.
As a business with French origins and New Zealand family-owned manufacturing, Paneton has been working with Foodstuffs for over a decade and will continue to supply its award-winning products, such as the butter puff pastry and a new range of ready-made sheets, including sweet shortcrust, flaky puff and flaky block pastry.
