Lewis Road has struck again. The brand has teamed up with Uber as part of the global ‘Uber Ice Cream’ day, today, 15 July, a worldwide initiative that involves more than 400 cities in 69 countries.
Due to its time zone, New Zealand will be the first to enjoy it (in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch), with hundreds of ice-cream lovers being able to order premium Lewis Road ice cream via the Uber app. For this occasion, the company has developed a one-day flavour, Lewis Road Creamery Premium Strawberry Ice Cream.
“Our Premium Strawberry Ice Cream is made the old fashioned way with whole cream, milk, eggs and real strawberries. We’re sure it’s going to be popular today, despite the fact it’s the middle of winter. It is quite simply delicious,” said Peter Cullinane, founder of Lewis Road.
The promotion will take place between 11 am and 5 pm, or while stocks last. To receive two free 120ml tubs, new customers just need to sign up using the code ‘ICECREAMNZ’, while previous Uber users have to pay $20. For each ice cream being ordered, Uber will donate one tub to the Eat My Lunch programme, in support of children in need.
