Maketū Foods Ltd have urgently recalled a specific batch of its Maketū Pies brand Mussel Pies due to the presence of an undeclared allergen (fish).
The Maketū Pies brand Smoked Fish Pie has been incorrectly packaged as Maketū Pies brand Mussel Pie.
Pies with the batch marking 090424 and the fresh best-before date 25 April 2024 or frozen best-before date 15 March 2025 should not be consumed by people with a fish allergy.
These products come in a 200-gram paper packet and have been sold at service stations, supermarkets, retail outlets, and Four Squares. If a customer has purchased these products, they can return them for a full refund.
Maketū Foods Ltd have advised those who have consumed the pies and have concerns to seek medical advice.
