With her extensive experience and expertise in sustainability, transformation and change, Botterill will be pivotal in enhancing Foodstuffs' overall sustainability performance.
Botterill brings with her twenty years of sustainability and business experience and a proven track record of successfully implementing programs across various industries, initially starting her career as an environmental lawyer. Her deep understanding of environmental issues, social responsibility, and governance frameworks will be instrumental in guiding Foodstuffs towards achieving its sustainability goals and becoming a benchmark in the industry for responsible business practices.
"We are thrilled to welcome Sandy into this new role as our Head of Environmental Social Governance," said Dominic Quin, Group General Manager of Marketing and Media.
"This appointment highlights our unwavering commitment to embedding sustainability and responsible business practices at the core of our operations. With Sandy's leadership, we are confident in our ability to impact the environment, society, and our stakeholders positively."
Quin continued that reinforcing the ESG business unit to have a defined department devoted to ESG demonstrated Foodstuffs' commitment to finding new solutions that accelerate sustainable growth for its business and clients.
Botterill's responsibilities will include developing and implementing ESG strategies and policies to meet sustainability targets, driving employee engagement and awareness around ESG, and establishing partnerships with relevant stakeholders to promote sustainable practices across Foodstuffs and the wider industry.
Botterill will collaborate closely with Foodstuffs Executive teams and Boards, ensuring that ESG considerations are integrated into decision-making processes at all levels of the organisation.
Describing the appointment as an exciting next step, Botterill said she was pleased to take on the new role and be part of Foodstuffs' commitment to sustainable growth.
" I look forward to further working alongside the talented teams here to embed ESG principles into the fabric of our operations, drive positive change, and contribute to a more sustainable future."
