New Managing Director for Unilever

Cameron Heath is Appointed New General Manager for Unilever New Zealand

Unilever New Zealand is excited to announce the appointment of a new Managing Director, Cameron Heath. His predecessor Nick Bangs makes the move to Sydney to become the General Manager of Home, Beauty and Personal Care for Unilever Australia and New Zealand.

Heath has been with Unilever for seven years, spending time in Latvia as the Baltics General Manager, and in Prague as the Food and Beverages Marketing Director. “I’m thrilled to take the reins of the New Zealand business, which has consistently delivered strong results under the leadership of Nick Bangs. Last year marked eight years of consecutive growth in the New Zealand market, illustrating the strong position that Unilever holds in the market and its continued ability to delight Kiwis across the home." Said Heath.

Originally from Sydney, Heath has been working remotely in the new role since November 2021 but will be welcomed on the ground in New Zealand from tomorrow. With 15 years of experience in the FMCG industry, he is aware of all the challenges that lie ahead in the consumer goods sector. Unilever New Zealand sells brands such as Persil, Surf, Dove, Rexona, Vaseline, Streets, and Ben & Jerry's.

As one of the world's largest producers of consumer goods, currently stocked in over 190 countries, Heath understands that the company has an increasing social responsibility. Not only to act for climate change by reducing packaging and food waste. He also hopes to better understand New Zealand's melting pot of cultures and contribute to a fair, diverse and equitable world. Heath is acutely aware of current supply chain disruptions and increased production costs. He hopes to work on building strong relationships with retail partners and consumers to ensure everyone has fair access to grocery products.
