Woolworths & BIG W Art Bags Raise Funds For Communities

AUSTRALIA | Woolworths and BIG W launch a new reusable bag collection made from 85 per cent recycled materials.

Designed in collaboration with local artist Leah Bartholomew, the range features vibrant artworks and helps raise funds for families in need across the country.

For every bag sold at Woolworths Supermarkets and BIG W, 20 cents will go directly to key charity partners. Sales from the Woolworths bags will help its longstanding partner OzHarvest deliver nourishing meals to Australians facing food insecurity.

BIG W bag sales will also support children's hospitals and research partners across Australia, fueling their vital work for children and families in need.

At Woolworths Supermarkets, customers can shop three designs inspired by fresh seasonal produce, native flora, and local gardens: ‘Harvest’, ‘Bloom’, and ‘Alfresco’.

At BIG W, the ‘Togetherness’ designs are inspired by Australian lifestyle, blending stylised views of the sun, beach, and local flora with familiar homewares patterns.

Rhonda Ma, Category Manager for Bags, said that while many customers already bring their own reusable bags when they shop, this new range gives them a beautiful new option to add to their collections while giving back to the communities served every day.

“We know our shoppers love beautiful designs, which is why we’ve partnered with incredibly talented Aussie artist Leah Bartholomew to bring her artistic flair to the checkout.”

The bags are made using 85 percent recycled materials. They are available for AUD two in-store and online now at Woolworths Supermarkets, Metro stores and BIG W stores.
