Woolworths’ Fresh & Edible Valentine’s Bouquet

Woolworths' Fresh & Edible Valentine's Bouquet

Flowers for Valentine’s were so last year, and that’s why Woolworths has offered something fresh and delicious this year.

This Valentine's Day, Woolworths has offered a unique and practical twist on the traditional flower bouquet.

The "Fresh Bouquet" is a loving arrangement of fresh basil, tasty tomatoes, and spaghetti, a beautiful gesture and meal.

Woolworths sold over 50,000 bouquets during Valentine’s Week, around ten times the number sold during a typical week.

Roughly 75 percent of flower buyers on Valentine’s Day have been male, most of whom only purchase flowers once a year.

Red roses have outsold other flowers during Valentine’s week, and bouquet sales on Valentine’s Day have been 15 times higher than on a typical day.

“At Woolworths, we’re all about fresh and keen to see what people think of our new Fresh Bouquet,” said Ryan McMullen, Woolworths’ General Manager of Fruit and Veg.

“We’ll be listening closely, and if there’s good feedback on this limited-time offer- you might just find a new type of bouquet in your local store next Valentine’s.”

The Fresh Bouquet will be available for free in limited numbers at Woolworths Metro Albert Street on the 12th of February and at Te Komititanga Plaza on the 13th and 14th of February.
