USA | 7-Eleven, Inc. has unveiled Southland Reserve, an exclusive new private label drink designed to honour the brand’s rich heritage in the form of a delicious beverage.
7-Eleven has teamed up with AriZona Beverages to introduce a new line of cold brew teas crafted to deliver bold flavours with a smooth, refreshing taste.
Since 1927, 7-Eleven has been at the forefront of innovation – bringing customers what they want, when and where they want it, from the first self-serve soda fountain to coffee in to-go cups.
The convenience retailer has continued this legacy of innovation with the introduction of Southland Reserve and its four refreshing cold-brew tea flavours: Sweet Tea, Unsweet Tea, Peach Tea, and Lemon Tea.
Available at 7-Eleven, Speedway and Stripes stores, this new beverage line has paid tribute to the company’s origin story as the world’s first convenience store, founded in 1927 as Southland Ice Company, under Southland Corporation, before the 7-Eleven name was coined in 1946.
“This launch of Southland Reserve Cold Brew tea celebrates the legacy of 7-Eleven and the loyal customers who have made us who we are today,” said Nikki Boyers, Vice President, Private Brands at 7-Eleven.
“With this lineup, we’re bringing together the best of the past and the present, delivering a drink that is both nostalgic and refreshingly new.”
The Southland Reserve Cold Brew tea packaging design also paid tribute to 7-Eleven’s rich history. It featured imagery inspired by a 1950s-era photo of the convenience store, giving a visual reminder of the brand’s deep-rooted legacy in convenience retail.
The beverage lineup features diverse flavour profiles that satisfy every customer, regardless of their preference. Whether they like the classic sweetness of Sweet Tea, the refreshing taste of Unsweet Tea, the fruity twist of Peach Tea or the tangy zest of Lemon Tea – there is something for everyone.
“At AriZona, we’ve always been passionate about bringing high-quality, great-tasting beverages to our customers,” said Don Vultaggio, Chairman and Founder at AriZona Beverages.
“Working with 7-Eleven to create Southland Reserve Cold Brew tea was a natural fit. By combining our expertise in cold brewing with 7-Eleven’s deep-rooted legacy, we’ve crafted a refreshing and flavourful tea that we know customers will love.”
Southland Reserve Cold Brew teas are available in 16-oz bottles and have been crafted using gravity-based filtration and a cold steeping process. The black and green tea leaves have been sourced from Argentina, Indonesia, and Kenya and steeped for an extended period to ensure an aromatic flavour without bitterness, resulting in a refreshing and crave-able cold brew tea.
