USA | Upcoming innovations across The Coca‑Cola Company portfolio offer new ways to refresh, hydrate and recharge throughout the day.
What people reach for to drink can look very different from one moment to the next. It might be a Coca‑Cola with lunch, hydration on the go, protein after a workout, a zero-sugar option or simply a new flavour worth trying.
That range of preferences is shaping what’s next across The Coca‑Cola Company’s portfolio.
“What people want from their beverages continues to evolve, from new flavours and experiences to added functionality,” said Shakir Moin, President of Marketing, North America, The Coca‑Cola Company.
“The breadth of our portfolio gives us an incredible opportunity to meet those changing needs and give people more choices for more moments throughout their day.”
New Takes on Familiar Favourites
Familiar brands are getting some unexpected twists, giving consumers new flavours and experiences to discover.
Coca‑Cola Cherry Lime, launching in February 2027, builds on cherry's popularity among younger consumers, blending the classic cherry flavour consumers know with a bright lime twist.
Coca‑Cola Strawberry Float, launching in summer 2027, blends Coca‑Cola with strawberry and creamy vanilla flavours for a nostalgic flavour combination.
Coca‑Cola is also conducting a regional prebiotic test-and-learn beginning in late October, featuring Coca‑Cola Zero Sugar, Sprite Zero Sugar and Fresca, each formulated with 6 grams of prebiotic fibre and zero sugar. The pilot will be available on a limited basis across parts of New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania as the company evaluates consumer response.
Mr Pibb Black-Current, a berry-forward limited-time offering featuring blackberry and black currant flavours and 54 mg of caffeine, is planned for spring 2027.
More Ways to Hydrate
Hydration is becoming more personal. Some consumers want support for an active lifestyle. Others want added benefits, less sugar, or simply a different way to stay refreshed.
Coca‑Cola is bringing a more connected approach to those needs through BODYARMOR, POWERADE and vitaminwater.
Among the latest and upcoming innovations:
- POWERADE is adding Watermelon and Lemon Lime Zero Sugar in January 2027, bringing more flavour and a Zero Sugar choice to the lineup.
- BODYARMOR FIT brings sports hydration beyond the workout in a sparkling, Zero Sugar format with 290 mg of electrolytes and 60 mg of caffeine, along with choline and green tea extract. Launched nationally in June, it’s BODYARMOR’s first sparkling sports drink in a can and comes in five fruit-forward flavours.
- vitaminwater zero sugar formula 100 launches in March 2027 in grape, delivering 100% of the daily value of vitamins C, E, B3, B5, B6 and B12.
A Premium Take on Refreshment
Topo Chico is expanding its portfolio with new ways to experience the brand’s distinctive taste and effervescence.
Topo Chico Colección launches this month as a premium carbonated filtered water with signature minerals added for flavour and inspired by the iconic Topo Chico taste experience.
Topo Chico Sabores Pineapple Coconut follows in February 2027, bringing new tropical flavours to the brand’s fruit-forward flavoured filtered sparkling water lineup.
Protein Keeps Growing
Protein has become part of more everyday routines, and fairlife continues to see strong momentum. The brand is approaching USD four billion in retail sales while continuing to grow at a double-digit rate.
That momentum is creating room to expand the portfolio. Core Power protein shakes, also growing at a double-digit rate, will introduce Core Power Banana in January 2027 in both 26g and 42g protein offerings, the brand’s first new flavour in almost a decade. Core Power Strawberry will also join the 26g lineup.
What’s Next
The latest innovations reflect how Coca‑Cola continues to evolve its portfolio around changing consumer preferences. And more is coming, with additional innovation planned across the portfolio throughout 2027.
“For us, innovation starts with the consumer,” said Shakir.
“It’s about understanding what people are looking for, where their interests are going and then using the strength of our brands to create something relevant and compelling. That’s how we continue to learn, evolve and bring new choices to consumers.”
