Winder Farms Launches Eggnog At Costco

USA | Winder Farms, which members of the Winder family recently acquired back, has worked quickly to expand its marketing channels.

The company has announced that it has launched its famous eggnog in Costco warehouses.

"We hope to reach more of our customers' demand for our products by making them available in more places. There is a lot of overlap between our target demographic and that of Costco's, so it's natural to be there,” said Company Chairman & CEO, James Winder.

"This is a test run to see how it goes. I'm sure Costco will be pleased with the result. Consumers love our Eggnog. We're grateful to have the opportunity to work with a great retailer like Costco."

Winder hoped that, if the Costco test run goes well, they will be invited to supply not only eggnog but also their award-winning chocolate milk to all 13 Costco locations along the Wasatch Front next year.

Winder Farms' Famous Eggnog

The 145-year-old business plans to continue recapturing its past home delivery customer base by expanding distribution, including new retail partnerships currently in the works, to make its famous products more accessible to past or "would-be" home delivery customers.

"We have a very loyal customer base and we intend to make our products as available as possible to that base and other like-minded customers," said Winder.

Winder's eggnog product is differentiated from other eggnog products sold at Costco and other grocery stores because it is considered "fresh" or pasteurised, not ultra-pasteurised. It is also one of the few local dairy brands.

Winder Farms, founded in 1880, is the oldest continuously operating food and beverage brand in Utah. Winder Farms Eggnog will be in three Wasatch Front Costco locations, including Bountiful, Murray, and Salt Lake City, starting Friday, the 5th of December, with limited inventory.
