The new 3-in-1 Child Shield safety system was designed to help prevent the risk coin lithium batteries pose to children by combining three key safety features.
Energizer was the first brand to launch child-resistant packaging, which provided security to help prevent children from accessing the batteries in the package. The coin lithium batteries also include a non-toxic bitter coating on the cell that discourages and helps prevent ingestion.
