Unilever owned Hellmann’s have launched a new vegan mayonnaise into Tesco supermarkets across the UK. According to Hellmann’s the launch of the mayo is a result of the increased consumer demand for more plant-based products.
The new condiment is made using a combination of soyabean oil and maize starch. The mayonnaise is certified vegan and gluten free with no artificial colours and preservatives. The launch into the UK market follows the success of the vegan mayonnaise in the US.
