Making It Easier To Support Local

Aldi Uk

UK | Aldi has made it simpler for customers to support British businesses by introducing a 'Best of British' section on its website. The dedicated webpage, available at groceries.aldi.co.uk, features various groceries, including meat, dairy products, and everyday essentials sourced from British suppliers. Last year, Aldi saw over 80 percent of its sales coming from British suppliers, solidifying its position as a market leader in fresh British fruit and vegetables.

The supermarket collaborates with approximately 5,000 suppliers across the UK. It has consistently been recognised as the best supermarket for conducting fair and trustworthy relationships, according to the GSCOP annual survey, maintaining this status for a record ten years.

Julie Ashfield, Managing Director of Buying at Aldi UK, emphasised the goal of the 'Best of British' webpage, stating that it aims to make it easier for customers to explore British products while supporting the numerous local suppliers with whom Aldi collaborates. The supermarket takes pride in championing British suppliers, considering them integral to its success in delivering high-quality British products at competitive prices.
