Revolutionary packaging company, SIG has developed a microwaveable carton as part of its new Heat&Go range. The new carton is aluminium free allowing for it to be able to be heated in a microwave for the perfect hot drink on-the-go solution. The brand has capitalised on consumers increased demand for convenient on-the-go products.
Research performed by the company revealed that 72 per cent of consumers wanted better heating solutions for convenience products. Replacing the aluminium foil with a high barrier film and light blocking pigment, SIG was able to protect the contents of the package from light and water contamination, flavour migration and oxygen ingress.
