New Clubcard Challenges

New Clubcard Challenges

Thanks to new cutting-edge AI-powered Clubcard challenges, millions of Tesco customers will be able to collect up to GBP 50 in Clubcard points.

Three million Clubcard holders will be invited to participate in the campaign. If they accept, they will receive 20 challenges tailored to their needs.

The challenges will vary for each participant and will centre around spending money in specific food categories at promoted times.

“We are constantly looking for ways to make the Clubcard work harder for our customers. With Clubcard Prices on around 8,000 products, customers can save up to GBP 360 on the annual cost of groceries,” said Lizzie Reynolds, group membership and loyalty director at Tesco.

“Personalisation is about using what we know about customers to improve their experience and make our rewards more helpful, and we’re very excited to see how our customers respond to Clubcard Challenges.”

Customers who complete the challenge will be rewarded with extra Clubcard points.

These customers will be able to choose which 10 of the 20 offers to complete, and they can receive a maximum reward of GBP 50 in Clubcard points.

Whether or not customers take part in the challenge, they will still benefit from the thousands of product offers and earn Clubcard points on every purchase.

The interest in expanding the benefits of the Clubcard is a strategic move by Tesco to make the rewards sytem more personal and relevant for customers. Throughout 2023, Tesco issued 289 million personalised coupons to customers and saw a significant increase in the number of coupons redeemed.
