Aldi Named As UK’s Cheapest Supermarke

UK | According to its latest research, consumer group Which? has named Aldi the UK’s cheapest supermarket for April.

Waitrose is the most expensive supermarket, but a shop at Aldi costs over £31 less.

Aldi has invested over £125m in price cuts this year to remain the cheapest supermarket in the UK. Aldi was also found to be £14.08 cheaper than Asda and £18.12 cheaper than Sainsbury’s.

The average price for 71 items at Aldi was £112.90, while Lidl was the second cheapest supermarket at £115.23.

Aldi Managing Director of Buying, Julie Ashfield, said that the company is committed to maintaining its position as the UK’s cheapest supermarket while still offering quality products.

Aldi has also announced that it will lower the price of its Chassaux Et Fils Atlantique Rosé, 75cl, to under £5, as well as Freeman’s Bay Sauvignon Blanc, Pierre Jaurant French Merlot, and Costellore Prosecco Spumante DOC.
